For the marquees, some internet users from Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, Brittany, took a long time to find us, because they did not know the name of the product sought such as the Nomad, the Bamboo Marquee, Asia, etc.

Beware of sites specializing in weddings, referencing a large number of event companies (tent hire, lighting designer, hairdresser, etc.). It is a paid service and does not necessarily highlight the best provider…. 

It may even happen that some companies buy a medal distinguishing them from others. Of course, sites specializing in weddings have no knowledge of the profession of installing event equipment ... their vocation is to sell "a showcase" to their customers. 

They generally aren’t present at receptions and therefore cannot enjoy this profession. Researching with them is interesting, however, because it can help you shop around for all of your needs.

You should know that when you go online, your request reaches a large number of companies. For example, if you request a quote in Provence for a Wedding planner, the shipment is addressed to all providers in Provence.

When you receive three commercial proposals, from the same sector of activity (Nomad tent for example or shade sail), make sure you understand each offer. 

Pay attention to the name of "150 m² tent" because that doesn't mean anything; Namely a tent with intermediate poles or are there several structures reaching 150m²?

It is in this castle high above the grounds, that the union of Noura E. & Jo Wilfried T. took place. A secular ceremony in the castle courtyard with the rental of our Nomad tent, equipped with 200 white folding chairs to open this union. Why choose our Nomade shade sails and tents?

For several years we have been manufacturing our Nomad tents and shade sails supported by bamboo.

Our 150m² bamboo silhouette tent was installed above a swimming pool, thus covering the terrace. It was decorated with tavern garlands on the outskirts and highlighted by colored LED projectors.

Why choose pvc instead of stretch for fabric?

The fabric has many advantages over stretch fabric. The pvc canvas is fire-resistant and responds to the waiting times requested by the inspection bodies, unlike the stretch canvas.

Then in terms of wind resistance, the pvc canvas is more efficient, likewise against bad weather.

In addition, the pvc fabric is pre-stretched while the stretch fabric continues to relax. As a result, the aluminum bars of the stretch tents no longer have enough support against the canvas and risk falling.

One of the customer’s wishes was not to fix the tent in the ground. So we replaced this anchor with concrete blocks of 1 ton per post and 2 tonnes per angle for a total of 14 tonnes.

Setting up bamboo reception tent in Switzerland

Our bamboo reception tent was the first of this style to be installed in Switzerland. A surface of 15x35m, or 525m2 of bamboo tent was installed with a self-supporting floor of the same size.

This installation was carried out in the rules of the art and taking into account the safety of the Shadow Men (assembly team).

During the preliminary location visit (around 3 months before D-Day), we identified different problems:

We install our floor on a double transverse metal sheet with spacings every 83 cm. Wedging points every 1.25m2 are installed ensuring comfort and security. Finally we enclose wooden slats on the aluminum crosspieces. So you get a smooth, flat surface.

With a drop of more than 1 meter, we had to stall thanks to a jack system with, in part, a scaffolding to compensate for high points. Thus, facing Lake Geneva, the foundations of the bamboo marquee were set up perfectly.

We encountered significant constraints due to the wind blowing at more than 50 km / h when the 525m2 canvas was installed.

Before this installation, we affix twisted anchor spikes to the ground which replace the conventional anchor of bamboo tent designers. Thus, the resistance to tearing is increased tenfold. This anchor is placed every 2.5m around the surface of the bamboo architecture. Then 32 bamboo poles are positioned on the ground at the periphery of the marquee.

We then install the central masts in the center of the dimension, spaced every 5M, and we come to cover them with our champagne-colored canvas.

We also installed various small bamboo tents and shade sails. Then, Marina CARDIS, managed more than a dozen companies to organize the bamboo wedding tent. An original decoration with scenic light bridges was installed, a covering of the shrouds with ropes, a carpet, a staging of the Geneva Opera with their artists and bright balloons on the lake.

We were contacted by La Marine Nationale (French Navy) who wanted to demonstrate its logistics and the expertise of marine commandos.
We have therefore installed for rental, a Garden tent village as well as an event structure of 300 m2 on the quays in the Lyon Confluence district.

Our intervention started at dawn and ended at 1 p.m.

All of our tents were guyed using concrete studs (approximately 23 tonnes).

Near the town of Pont d'Ain, a young couple's wedding is organized. For rent, we installed our 375m2 bamboo marquee to accommodate 280 guests, equipped with a self-supporting floor and colored LED lighting.

How many fixings to attach the reception tent?

Setting up a reception tent is essential for your safety and the safety of guests. It is therefore quite normal to wonder how much fixing is required to attach a receiving structure. You will find all the information below, in case of doubt do not hesitate to contact us.

Is it necessary to provide a fixing in the ground for a reception tent?

How to calculate the number "sardines" to fix the reception tent against the wind?

It depends on the pullout test performed at the time of installation. In practice, we provide one to two anchors per post minimum. Depending on the nature of the terrain, hosting a C.T.S (Marquee, Tent or Structure), our installation teams, Les Hommes de l'Ombre), can increase up to 6 anchor points per pole.

We use twisted anchor spikes 24mm in diameter with a depth ranging from 500 to 1500mm.

Fixing tent "sardines" causes damage?

If your soil is earthy, the tearing of our bindings will not cause any irreversible damage. Be careful if you have pipes in the ground, water, gas, electricity. It should be reported during
of the location visit (sometimes we have to initiate a procedure called the DICT).

How to fix a reception tent on the tar?

First of all, fixing in tar and concrete is possible. This avoids replacing this anchor with concrete blocks requiring and or more additional transport. So we let's act together in an eco-responsible approach. To fill in the anchor holes linked to the fixing of the tent receipt for rental or purchase, we use either a resin, tar, or mortar.

How much fixing to use for your nomad tents, shade sail, bamboo tent for hire?

For a stretched canvas like the shade sail, the Nomad tent and
stretch as well as the Bamboo marquee, only one anchor per pole is not enough if it is not located in the tar. Depending on the weather (rain, thunderstorm) the ground gets wet with water, loosens up and changes the test values ??at pullout. For this, our teams have studied these constraints and propose for the fixing of our nomad tents and bamboo marquee for rent, metal plates. Is it possible not to fix the structure and the tent in the ground?

Yes, we will replace the anchor in the ground with ballast (concrete block). This applies to all our products, namely the Nomade tent, the Crystal reception tent, the traditional structure, the Bamboo tent…

Our concrete blocks for hire are placed on all the poles of the reception tent.

For a Nomad tent, this requires more and more ballast because it does not have a frame. It cannot be installed without fixing in the ground or taking over the load by concrete blocks. The tension gives it its rigidity like a circus tent.

Can we set up a reception tent without making a hole in the ground?

The traditional structure, which has a metal frame, can stand on its own without anchoring. It also needs to be fixed either in the ground or with ballast.

However, it is possible to fix in tar and reseal this anchor with a resin in the color of the mix and the imprint of the hole will have completely disappeared.

The fuel present in the heating is billed only for consumption. If you don’t use the heater, you won’t get fuel billing.

What type of fuel do you use for heating?

For mobile forced air heaters, we use domestic fuel.

Can we use other energy sources to heat the tent for hire?

Auxiliary gas or electric heaters can be offered outside the tent.

Please note, gas is strictly prohibited in tents due to French C.T.S regulations. Only electric heaters are allowed.

How to plan a declaration for an intervention in a public area?

During an intervention in a public area, the organizer must carry out an administrative procedure with the municipality concerned.

On the other hand, each service provider is obliged to provide a DICT (Declaration of Intent to Begin Work).

This mandates companies that have installed underground, overhead networks, etc.

Is there a space for the DJ under the reception tent?

All rental dishes are cleaned by us.

How much space is needed to set up a party tent?

Once the dimension defined for your marquee, you must provide an additional space at the periphery of at least 2.50m.

It is preferable to have 5.00m, then a length and width available and sufficiently large.

During a technical identification to confirm and validate our commercial offer, our site managers will study the accesses of vehicles transporting the goods (utility vehicles in 3.5t or heavy goods vehicles from 19 to 44 tonnes).

We offer double ply flooring. It is a wooden floor with a metal sole.

Is there carpet on the floor?

When our event is over, what should we plan before the team receives the reception tent?

All the providers of your event must have taken back all their equipment or furniture before the intervention of our teams.

Should we store the interior of the reception tent before the arrival of the various service providers?

Tables and chairs must be folded and stacked by you before recovery. Some of these pieces of furniture are delivered in handling carts.

The dishes must be returned to the storage bins and the glassware to the appropriate crates. It is generally the team of your caterer who is responsible for setting the tables who must be responsible for this operation.

The floor is delivered to you clean and without staples or nails. If it is damaged by one of your service providers, we will be obliged to invoice you for the repair hours.

Do I need to provide lighting under the bamboo tent?

Can we provide garlands under the bamboo tent?

Does the marquee always have a floor?

No, the marquee is not necessarily equipped with a floor; It’s just extra comfort for you and your collaborators, or guests.
